Winstanley Christmas Business & Shop Windows Competition 2024

2024 CHRISTMAS BUSINESS & SHOP WINDOWS COMPETITION IN SAFFRON WALDEN

On Friday 13th December the Winstanley Christmas Business & Shop Windows awards were presented by the Saffron Walden Initiative, with the support of the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Jubeyuir Ahmed, to five surprised and happy local organisations.

St Elizabeth’s in King Street was awarded the winner’s certificate and Town Trophy, with manager Toni Gabell receiving them. The excellent glass painting was made by Holly Howard, a volunteer to St Elizabeth’s.

Chocolatier in Hill Street took second place with Chris Smith receiving the award. Frank Riccio Hairdressing in Market Row was third. Jiminy Snippets in Market Hill & the Tourist Information Centre in Market Place were both highly commended.

Sponsored by the Initiative and Saffron Hall this has been the 7th year of the windows competition and the standard has been amazing. The Initiative would like to applaud all those organisations taking part and wishes everyone a Christmas and Happy New Year.

Saffron Walden looks wonderful with beautiful lights, Xmas tree, many activities, markets and lots of interesting independent shops - truly an interesting destination and a great place to live.
